What is API Response Time Tester?

API Response Time Tester measures multiple requests to a public endpoint and summarizes latency. It reports average, minimum, maximum, median and average time to first byte.

What this tool checks

  • Multiple controlled request samples
  • Average response time
  • Median response time
  • Minimum and maximum response time
  • Average TTFB

How to use it

  1. Enter a public API endpoint.
  2. Choose two to five attempts.
  3. Run the response-time test.
  4. Compare the values across repeated tests and environments.
Important: These measurements originate from the API For Work server, so latency will differ from measurements made from your users, edge regions or internal infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions

Why is this different from my local timing?

Network distance, routing, DNS, caching and server location can all affect response time.

Does the test generate heavy traffic?

No. Attempts are deliberately limited to a maximum of five.
